Cover me with rain.

You remind me of home: in a suburban town with nothing to do,
patiently waiting for something to happen.

Oh, you are the roots that sleep beneath my feet and hold the earth in place.

imagine for one second a car on a highway.
there are no other cars, and the road runs straight as far as you can see.
so its not like we need a map.
infact, the car is driving itself, there is no one behind the wheel.
im in the back seat with you, and the scenery is black, but not like the night.
more like the evening, in a bedroom in someones house, in winter.
more like the tent of the covers, where the only light is from the reflection of your eyes in mine, and the glow of your skin.
no, we are not like angels. or devils.
we are not like anything.
~
i get painfully honest, like a cancer patient.
i guess its just what you do to me.
i could say that all that love (the real kind) got me was an accumulation of notebooks and favourite songs. I could say that lust got me where i wanted to be.
bewtween your legs.
I cant tell wether it is better breathing you like a prayer, like a sonnet and clumsy scribbled sentences like im more alive than ever before
and reading too far into your profile songs but there is meaning in every action you unconciously decide,
or fire licking my heels my tongue everywhere but your mouth melting you like a sugar cube.
~
I know i have always prefered to be crushed against a wall than bought flowers for.
love is about lust. and this is the opposite of chaste.
~
and whatever you say, this is real. I dont care that i am the anti.
because this is obviously real.
you make me feel so incredibly alive.

Destroyed by the sea.

There's money lenders inside the temple that circus tiger's gonna break your heart something so wild turned into paper if I loved you, well that's my fault.
A bitch in heat, the alpha male not something she'd ever tell except when she got deathly high.
And out it came like summer rain washed the cars and everything felt clean for just a little while.

There'd be no distance that could hold us back.

My new years resolution:

Dont try to make this work.
Let it just work itself.

Who knows where this is heading?

Light strikes the suburbs in the summer, Water trickles and runs down the features of children, Laughter echoes rising As they slip between the sprinklers. Faces eager for no reason, Is it the season, is that it? This used to be enough for me, now it isn't, I need some different entertainment. So we take the A-Train into the city, Sticky seats shake at the station, Women's footsteps drag, From the cave of the tunnel dragon, Into the open high-rises, buildings, Street urchins come to siege us, Corner preachers carry Jesus, Like he carried the cross, toss leaflets. All this misdirected lust, All these, all these, all these people, As dusk turns into evening, We just get funneled to the clubs. So come on turn up the faders, Sooner or later bring the beat in, I need it, I wanna feel lit, Like a fetus feels the heartbeat Of his mother when he's sleeping, Beating constantly, Come on and dance emphatically, Manically, desperately, Who knows where this is heading? I'm in the backroom, drunk, The stars cut chunks out of the darkness. It's a portrait of the young artist, As another target market, Playing dumb in the club, Using liquor as a tourniquet, Let's succumb to our desires, We'll become just like our fathers, Bang into each other Until the lights smother us And we go under. Outside is a storm, it feels like a set, It feels so unreal. Turn up the faders, Come on bring the beat in, I need it, I wanna feel it, I wanna feel it I'm in the bathroom, drunk, The months cut chunks out of the summer, Days get longer, minutes get faster, I get older, the weather gets colder, They might sleep out in the suburbs, But not here, not here, So come on turn up the faders, Sooner or later bring the beat in, I need it, I wanna feel it, I wanna feel it. And my friends hold their glasses, Like roses by the stem, Leaning like trees blown by wind in a garden, Fall and play jester, at the feet of dark-eyed women, Whose every hidden glance, Holds a chance for new beginnings, Here's to all the new beginnings, We never got back from. Never go home, Never go home, Never go home alone.

Hey, you are just trying to be nice.

But there is a meaning to every fleeting action you unconsciously decide.

Gain some perspective.

squint through old slides at the light on your cieling.
look at photos of the sea and trace the horizon.
squeeze your eyes shut and follow fireworks in the shape of your computer screen.

watch shakey films of you as a kid.
call up your friends and tell them you never felt so great.
so lets celebrate.

im just waiting for someone to break me out.
